Executive Director of The Arc of Evansville, Carrie Blackham, brings extensive leadership experience to the organization. She ensures that The Arc of Evansville’s supports and services provide meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities living in the Evansville area. Carrie works with local agencies, community leaders, local and state elected leaders, and donors in her advocacy efforts. She also works closely with The Arc of Evansville’s board of directors and the leadership team to fulfill the agency’s mission and vision for the future. Carrie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Western Kentucky University and a Juris Doctorate from the Western New England College School of Law.

As the Chief Human Resources Officer, Morgan Cloum plays a significant role at The Arc of Evansville by building a positive organizational culture. Since 2017, she has focused on serving the organization’s employees by planning, leading, and developing policies and initiatives that meet their needs. By continuously striving to make The Arc a better place to work, she believes that the organization can provide better supports to the people with disabilities served by The Arc of Evansville. Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and Management from Western Governors University.

John Miles has served at The Arc of Evansville for over 20 years. He currently serves as the Chief Finance Officer, where he oversees all aspects of the financial operations of The Arc of Evansville, including budget preparation, financial statements and reporting, cost management, job costing, administration and supervision of accounts payable and receivable, customer billing, payroll, and Medicaid billing. In addition, John oversees the manufacturing operations at Arc Industries and is instrumental in ensuring the organization’s financial viability. John has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University Bloomington.

As the Chief Development Officer, Cinda Phillips, has a genuine desire for the people supported by The Arc of Evansville to lead meaningful lives. She is passionate about connecting, engaging, and cultivating relationships with others as the organization meets the expectations of people with disabilities. Cinda joined The Arc of Evansville in 2015 as the Assistant Director of Development and has played a vital role in the Development Department’s success through her grant writing, communications, and relationship-building skills. Cinda has extensive nonprofit management experience and a Master of Science degree in Management.

Since 2011, Kayla Schmitt has supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in her many roles at The Arc of Evansville, providing a wealth of knowledge and experience that she has brought to her current position as Chief of Staff. Kayla oversees the administrative functions of the organization and is also responsible for ensuring operational efficiencies in the information technology and facilities departments. Above all, Kayla is a tireless advocate for the people supported by The Arc of Evansville. Kayla is a graduate of the INARF Leadership Academy Class of 2023.
