The critical needs of people with disabilities, their families, and the direct support professional (DSP) workforce must be included in the next coronavirus relief bill.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that includes many of our top asks – but the Senate has JUST introduced a bill that does NOT address most of the critical needs of people with disabilities!

Celebrate 30 Years of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Thirty years ago on July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law. This civil rights law prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
