Join The Perfect Arc Cornhole Tournament, a benefit for The Arc of Evansville, on Saturday, November 9th, at the CK Newsome Center to support people with disabilities in the Vanderburgh County area!

 
This is an ACL Open Charity Event and will use Scoreholio! Anyone can play and anyone can win, regardless of what league or organization you play under!
In addition to the tournament, we will offer food trucks, including Brisket Biscuit and Sassy Sweets, raffles, and if time permits, a Blind Draw tournament.
Registration/check-in begins at 9:00A CT, with the tournament starting no earlier than 10:00A CT.
 
We appreciate your team preregistering for the event, teams can register on the day of the event, but all registrations must be done online.
Teams will be doubles (teams of 2) with double elimination. PLEASE INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE TEAM MEMBER’S PHONE NUMBER DURING REGISTRATION FOR TEXT MESSAGE UPDATES ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
 
*All players are required to bring their own bags to compete, but bags will be available to rent.*

OPEN DIVISON:
– 1st Prize: $1,000
– 2nd Prize: $500
– 3rd Prize: $250
 
 
NOVICE DIVISION*:
– 1st Prize Official ACL COMP 2×4 Board Sets, provided by Escalade Sports, and $300
– 2nd Prize Package, awarded per team, includes Official ACL REC 2×4 Board Sets, provided by Escalade Sports, and $200
– 3rd Prize Package, awarded per team, includes Official ACL REC 1×2 Mini Board Sets, provided by Escalade Sports, and $100
 
*The Novice Division is intended for beginners and large events that have a lot of intermediate players, who have limited experience with the game.
 
The tournament will be held inside the CK Newsome Center located at 100 E Walnut St #1, Evansville, IN 47713.
 
Food trucks, beer, and raffles will also be available at the event!

This session will help guide people with disabilities to find and maintain competitive employment in the community. Personalized support and assistance are provided to help overcome barriers to employment and succeed in the workplace.

  • Identify skills, interests, and career goals
  • Ongoing support to help navigate workplace challenges, develop job skills, and communicate effectively in the workplace
  • Assistance with obtaining any necessary workplace accommodations or modifications for performing job duties
  • Placement in regular, competitive jobs alongside non-disabled coworkers, rather than in segregated work settings

This session will give a personalized and flexible approach to matching a person’s skills, interests, and abilities with the needs of an employer. Creating or tailoring job positions to meet the unique strengths and preferences of the person.

  • Identify potential job opportunities that align with abilities and preferences
  • Negotiating with employers to customize job roles
  • Continued support for maintaining employment stability
  • Natural supports created within the workplace to help people succeed in their job

This session discusses the impact of employment on benefits varies depending on the specific benefits program and individual circumstances.

  • Social Security Disability (SSDI) benefits are available while working
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a need-based program and income can affect eligibility and benefit amount
  • Medicaid eligibility rules vary by state and working may affect eligibility
  • Medicare is not generally affected by working
  • A Benefits Counselor can help understand the impact prior to employment

This session will explain that there are strategies and resources available to help people overcome concerns and pursue meaningful employment.

  • Understanding abilities can boost confidence in pursuing employment
  • Education ad training can improve skills and increase confidence in the workplace
  • A support system can provide encouragement, advice, and practical assistance throughout the job search
  • People with disabilities have the right to reasonable accommodations in the workplace

  • Develop a plan of action with smaller, manageable tasks, and establish timelines
