Tentative Reopening Schedule & Policies

A message from Deidra R. Conner:

Together, The Arc of Evansville is working toward minimizing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the agency. I want to thank our team for your continual dedication during this uncertain time. Staff members have continued to provide essential services through Residential Services, Behavior Support Services, and Community Job Link; complete essential work for customers at Arc Industries; and conduct administrative responsibilities for the agency. Thank you!

Our leadership team continues to monitor guidance from federal and state governments as well as the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and clients. As you may know, Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb, has announced his five-stage plan for getting Indiana “back on track” and fully open. Based on the Governor’s five-stage plan, The Arc of Evansville has prepared the below tentative timeline for the agency to resume operations of those services that have been temporarily closed.

  • The Arc of Evansville adopted the “Pandemic Plan for Re-opening of Facilities” which outlines the policies and procedures that give guidance related to the steps and practices involved in re-opening the agency.
  • An in-depth cleaning process on the facility will be completed by June 19, 2020.
  • Clients 65 and under and with no health-risk concerns will begin receiving services on June 22, 2020.
  • Clients over 65 and those with health-risk concerns may begin receiving services on July 6, 2020.

Please note: This timeline is subject to change as deemed necessary by the leadership team to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our clients, employees, volunteers, and visitors.

The past several weeks have been ever-changing, and I appreciate your flexibility and continued service during this time. The Arc of Evansville remains committed to meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities to ensure that they are empowered to build relationships, gain independence, and achieve their full potential.

I am very grateful for all of the work that you continue to do to support our essential services; and we are so blessed to have dedicated, committed, employees who are very passionate about our mission.

Sincerely,

Deidra R. Conner
