Services for Children

The Arc of Evansville’s Child Life Center is currently enrolling children between ages 1 and 5 for full-time preschool.  The Child Life Center provides high-quality programming to nurture and educate children both with and without disabilities in an inclusive learning environment.  Located at 615 W. Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Our Child Life Center (CLC) provides high-quality programs in an inclusive environment for children ages six weeks to six years, both with and without disabilities, by nurturing their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. The state-licensed facility is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and rated Level 4 on the Paths to Quality program. Teachers – Our teachers are highly trained in the field of early childhood and/or special    education. Our preschool teachers each possess a bachelor’s degree in an educational field,  and many of the assistant teachers hold a degree or are working toward completion of one.

The Child Life Center is a leader in the field of early childhood and/or special education and we offer a comprehensive, developmentally  appropriate programming in a warm, home-like setting for children.

Last year, 59% of the children who exited the CLC and entered kindergarten reduced or eliminated their need for special education services.
