Wanting to provide the very best opportunities for all children, The Arc of Evansville developed the innovative Child Life Center (CLC) in 1993 and takes great pride in providing services to children both with and without disabilities. The CLC is one of only two inclusive child care programs in the area that accommodates children with multiple, complex, physical, and developmental disabilities.

Over time, The Arc of Evansville recognized other services that families of children with disabilities required and those services were added to The Arc’s programs. Those include Behavior Support Services for learning new behavioral habits that replace undesirable behaviors; Connections For Life, which assists children in learning social skills by increasing their social interaction; and Respite Services to provide temporary relief of the family’s caregiving duties.
