Volunteer

We warmly welcome individuals in our community who are interested in volunteering at The Arc of Evansville to give, contribute, and help us fulfill our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential. Volunteering at The Arc of Evansville is a fun, exciting, and rewarding experience. Whether you’d like to read a book to a child in the Child Life Center, participate in an activity with an adult in our Day Services Program For Adults, or present your talent to a group of individuals we serve, we can find the right volunteer opportunity for you! You can work directly with those we serve, help with building projects, or join a special event committee. By investing your time and talents, you can improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Some of our most important resources are people like you!

Youth volunteers, between the ages of 14 and 17, must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or school representative at all times. Youth Volunteers cannot assist in child or client programs but can volunteer in non-direct support areas.

Linda and Meredith“I’ve been a volunteer in The Arc of Evansville Child Life Center for four years. I look forward to coming twice each week to read the children books, play games, and sing songs. These children give me way more than I could ever give them.”
